Joshua Coward, DVM

Dr. Joshua Coward grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. In 2013 he completed a degree in Linguistics at University of California, Los Angeles. After working as a support staff member at a local veterinary hospital, Dr. Coward picked up and moved to Australia. There he earned Bachelor of Veterinary Biology and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degrees from the University of Sydney starting in 2016 (yes, he has treated koalas and kangaroos!). After graduation, Dr. Coward completed an emergency and critical care internship in Australia before moving back to the United States. His professional interests include general practice, imaging, and toxicology.

Dr. Coward is happy to be back in Los Angeles and spends his free time eating his way through the city, going to Dodger games, and watching too much television with his Boxer X Rottweiler Tim Tam.

Dr. Fuller brings nearly two decades of small animal general practice and urgent care experience to our team. She believes that veterinary medicine requires personalized care tailored to the unique needs of each family, understanding that every dynamic is different. She centers her practice on deeply listening to owners and cultivating a nuanced, thoughtful connection with each animal in her care.

A 2007 graduate of the Western University of Health Sciences, Dr. Fuller also holds a Master’s degree from Columbia University's Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Her clinical practice is deeply rooted in a lifelong passion for animal welfare. For over ten years, she owned a four-doctor practice in Silverlake and focused on rescue and community care. Today, she continues to prioritize being truly present and available for her clients, offering a gentle hand during hospice care and coaching families through the hardest end-of-life choices. Dr Fuller is very excited to join our team and feels there is nowhere else she’d rather be.

While her main focus and training is in Western medicine, she prefers a holistic approach to healing incorporating herbal medicine, proactive preventative care, and nutritional counseling to build individualized wellness plans. She is passionate about multi-modal pain management and oncology support, ensuring her senior and chronic-care patients enjoy comfortable, vibrant lives.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Fuller is a long-time vegan who loves traveling, spending time with her two kids, and tending to her own ever-growing small zoo of animals at home.
