When the pet’s life is no longer one of quality, we will help guide you and your family through the conversation of humane euthanasia. This procedure can be performed at DTLAvets with our doctors.
Aftercare is a personal choice. We have partnered with Honor Pet to handle cremation aftercare. Honor Pet is committed to environmentally sustainable practices and providing you with thoughtful keepsakes that recognize the special place pets have in their humans’ lives.

DTLA Vets is proud to partner with Honor Pet to provide environmentally sustainable water cremation (aquamation) for our families. This gentle, flame‑free process uses water, temperature and alkalinity to respectfully return your pet’s ashes while producing fewer emissions than traditional flame cremation in honor of our environment. Honor Pet manages private transport, documented chain‑of‑custody, and clear communication with you at every step, so you know exactly what to expect.
Our clients receive a hand curated Honor box with every private remain care. The Honor box includes a sustainable scatter tube urn, fur clipping in a glass vial, digital nose print, beeswax candle in keepsake pouch, forget-me-not flower seeds and a tree planted in pet’s honor. Additional memorial options are available through the Honor Pet website.
